There are two sections on this page. The first gives the day of the week for any Old Style date (typically before 1752). If you want to find the day of the week for a modern date (like your birthday), use the second section!
Please note that this calculator uses calendar years in which the yea begins on January 1st. The legal year in England began on March 25th until the calendar change in 1752, so some documents dated before March 25th may carry the previous calendar year. Scholars typically write these dates with a split year, e.g. "February 29th, 1623/4."
